they say bad things come in threes...

1. didn't feel good, went to the doctor last week and found out that I'm severely anemic and will probably have to have iron infusions.

2. hurt my foot somehow and couldn't walk, went to the ER on sunday and found out i have a heel spur/plantar fasciitis.

this was in the past week.

3. I got laid off today. Like as in, no more cushy job. no more insurance, no more paid holidays or paid vacation.

In October, I was told that I would be cut back to part time because my boss' company wasn't making enough money. I've been looking for other employment since, and have only found a tutoring position, really.

But today, I found out that his company is super in the red, even in danger of losing the building.

Which means, no more job for KP.

Which means, I'm totally screwed.

I guess there's always unemployment and it's a good thing I'm applying to grad school.

Boo, economy.

Stupid economy. Lemme know where it lives and I'll beat it into the ground for you.

I hope your foot is ok.

bummer about the job. it's not your fault...

and as far as iron goes, when/if you take supplements i recommend a liquid one called floridex iron and herbs... supposedly bodies absorb the iron much better in liquid than in pill form. they have it at whole foods, mother's market, etc.
